The higher the cleanliness of the bearing, the longer the life. Other tests have shown that lubricating oils of different cleanliness have a great influence on the life of ball bearings. Therefore, improving the cleanliness of the lubricating oil can extend the life of the bearing. In addition, if the lubricating oil particles in the lubricating oil are controlled below 10um, the life of the bearing will also increase several times.

4. Influence on bearing heating
Under normal circumstances, the amount of grease filled in KOYO bearings always exceeds the actual requirements of direct intervention lubrication, filling the cavities on the stand and rolling mill bearing caps and forming a contour around the rolling elements. During this process, the bearing temperature rises rapidly due to the resistance of excess grease. Although most of the excess grease will be squeezed out at the beginning of operation, the grease squeezed out from the raceway attachment may still be transferred to the raceway through the rolling elements.
In the early stages of rolling mill bearings, most of the grease will be squeezed out of the raceway quickly (less than a minute), and as the bearing transition body re-rotates, the accumulated grease will be discharged in small amounts. At this time, the temperature of KOYO bearings continues to rise until all the excess grease is discharged. It can be called the running-in phase of grease. Depending on the quality and quantity of grease in the rolling mill bearing structure, this time may last more than ten minutes or even several hours.
